Over the last 10 years I’ve worked in both website development and in search engine optimization. Those 10 years are divided among freelancing and with agencies. Working alongside small companies and enterprises alike has given me a unique perspective on prioritizing tasks for optimizing websites. I am a firm believer that the world of organic search is farm more complicated than it needs to be. My goal here is to simplify an overly complicated world of search.
My approach to organic search
Auditing a website is similar to going to to the doctor. The general recommendations are always the same: exercise, eat better, get plenty of sleep and sunlight. Each person, however, isn’t going to see the same amount of benefit from each. Websites are the same. The universal principles are always the same, but the specific application always looks different.
